Our website went through a bit of a facelift. Look around and check out what's new!

Paul Wilson, former owner of Chinook Pass Outfitter and Guides Inc., owned and operated the business for 30 years. Often times you can find him singing atop his mule, or sitting by the fire telling guests cowboy tales. In January of 2026, Jesse Ginter purchased the outfit which became Chinook Pass Outfitters LLC. Jesse worked under Paul for three years prior, and in those years he came to know and love the William O. Douglas and Norse Peak Wilderness. Now, he works diligently to provide you all with friendly services you've known for years.

Jesse Ginter grew up in Methow, WA, graduating from Pateros School District. The beautiful Methow Valley is where he started his future as an outfitter, working for Sawtooth Outfitters alongside his brother. A young kid searching for adventure and fortune after high school, he headed east to the logging camps of Idaho. He continued working there for 5 years until God called him back in to the outfitting business.

We pride ourselves on being good stewards of the land, and giving our guests a pleasurable experience. Chinook Pass Outfitters operates under a special use permit.
